Students are celebrating yet another magnificent set of GCSE results. They have worked tirelessly to achieve high outcomes across a wide range of subjects excelling in both English and Mathematics.
This is the first set of results in many reformed subjects, graded 9-1, which include; Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Science, Art and Design, Computer Science, Drama, Geography, History, and PE. The new content of the reformed GCSEs is more demanding, controlled assessments have been removed and all assessment are at the end of the course. Despite this new rigour, Bosworth students have continued to achieve the highest grades, including many exceptional grade 9’s. We are delighted that students will be progressing into our Sixth Form to continue their learning journey.
Simon Brown, Head of School said, “Congratulations to all of our students for their amazing achievements. They have worked incredibly hard throughout their time at Bosworth and achieved well beyond what they even thought was possible. Staff and students across all areas of our curriculum have worked creatively and collaboratively to overcome the challenges faced by new GCSEs and this has resulted in strong outcomes.”
Bosworth Academy is a highly inclusive school and take students from a range of educational backgrounds. The staff focus on ensuring that learning is relevant, engaging and creative so that students are engaged in what they do and aspire to ‘be better than they thought they could be’.
With the introduction of many new reformed GCSEs with a new grading structure it is not directly comparable to the A*-G system so comparisons to previous years cannot be made at this early stage. Further analysis continues and more information will follow on our website at a later date.
