Congratulations to Amy Chater (Year 9), Imogen Carter (Year 9) Kishan Vegamwala (Year 12), Samu Hayes (Year 12) and Dan Hazell (Year 13) for their winning entries for the recent poetry competition.
Here is an extract from an entry:
Hedgehog bush-bound baby.
If I was a tailor, then I’d be walking free,
But my old man’s a sailor, and he’ll make
one of me,
Mother says I’m wasted, my talents lie behind the line,
But father he won’t take it, he knows what’s right for him, so that’s what’s right for me.
