Sensational Sixth Form Success!

Once again this summer students at Bosworth Academy are celebrating excellent A-level and AS-level results, with the majority of students now progressing to their choice of University.

Simon Brown, Head of School, “Today has truly been a day of celebration for our students following their many years of hard work, commitment and dedication to their studies. Their remarkable achievements are a result of their true belief that success can be achieved through rising to every challenge, being open to feedback and deliberate, determined practice. We’re immensely proud of our staff too who have provided a tremendous level of support and expertise for our students. Students’ outcomes are higher than ever, a magnificent achievement especially considering that many of these results were from newly reformed A levels being assessed for the first time.”

Mother of Sam Foster said, “Sam’s aim since a very young age has been to be a pilot. Bosworth Academy staff have gone out of their way to support Sam in achieving this lifelong dream. I am now delighted that he can now go on to achieve his ambition.”

Bosworth Academy is proud that they challenge all students to ‘be better than they thought they could be’ by raising the aspirations of every learner. This is the first set of A-level results for many subjects following the introduction of reformed, linear A-levels with updated, more demanding content, and only the second year for others. Therefore the last two years has proven to be quite a challenge for students and for teachers as they adapt to these changes, though one where all have really risen to the challenges faced. In facilitating subjects, those A levels most frequently required for university entry (Mathematics,Further Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, English Literature, Geography, History and French), a tremendous 41% of all grades achieved by students were an A* or A.

As well as success measured in grades we are confident that our young people leave Bosworth having developed their curiosity, imagination, resilience and empathy towards others. Our learners are equipped with agency and a sense of purpose, and the competencies they need to shape their own lives and contribute to the well-being of others.
