Primary School Pupils Get A Taste For Maths

Pupils from Dovebank Primary School visited Bosworth Academy as part of a Primary School taster day. As well as visiting other faculties, the group of year 5 and year 6 pupils took part in a 1 hour Maths lesson.

Their challenge was to enlarge a picture of Bart Simpson made up of tiny little parts. The final result was impressive considering each pupil worked individually and the final picture wasn’t put together until the very end.

Academy Students Make It to Calais

On the 22nd of April 2013, we took part in our triathlon which was a huge success, everybody managed to complete the distances that were set for them and although we were extremely tired at the end of the day it was a great achievement for us all. We started the event at the beginning of second lesson and completed it just before lunch. Hannah and I are currently collecting and calculating the amount of money that we have raised as a team and we are exceeding our £500 target. We are amazed with the amount of donations and support that we have had from the community, Cancer Research and friends and family, and it is great news knowing that the proceedings are going to a cause which is so close to many of us.
